Complaint / review text:
I want to report the horribly awful conditions that animals are stored at the Pet Company here at the Menlo Park Mall. 1. They are put in tiny metal cages. 2. They are not allowed to roam around freely at any time during the day (I have never seen it in the many many trips I have made to the Mall.) 3. No one plays with the dogs. They are isolated for extended periods of time. 4. There is no access to fresh air or sunlight in the store. 5. They are often put into cages with other dogs. This means the very tiny cage is now even tinier. If they are lucky, the other dog is friendly and they can at least lay on each other and rest. But otherwise, this is a very crowded situation. 6. Their existence in cages goes on for an unlimited number of days and nights.
Isn't there something we can all do about this sitaution starting with the pet store in our neighbourhood? How can this poor treatment of animals be lawful? What would it take for the pet store to be raided, fined and brought into court for trial? When will the animals finally be treated humanely? Please, some one, some organization help us solve this. This is a desperate situation and it is untolerable.
