Complaint / review text:
Dear Mr Moran, My name is Helene Greenspan. My partner Nancy Greenspan and I have been long time customers of several Petsmart in New Mexico and now in San Diego, Ca.
In this letter I will be refering to the manager Craig at store #143. We have always taken our small dogs to the grooming department in store #143 and groomer Christina Chambers has always been our special groomer.in October 2012 she had been house sitting our pets in her own home, brought them back to the local store for us to pick them up and while waiting for us to get there (10 minute drive from our condo) Christina trimmed Chloe's small mustache which took her about one minute to do... We arrived very shortly thereafter. We went back to Petsmart store #143 in November and Christina groomed Chloe and Ladybug for us.
The next we hear is Christina was FIRED by Craig the manager because of what she did as our groomer and friend. I am 70 and Nancy is 75. How could someone be so heartless to fire her over a one time incident like trimming a mustache. Please take Christina Chambers back into your employment as she did nothing wrong... She was NOT "stealing company time" by trimming Chloe's mustache which took all of one minute to do.
When she was told what she did was wrong she offered, out of her own pocket, to pay for the trimming... But NO Craig, in turn, day after Christmas fires her... Why didn't he give her a warning like MOST people would have done. Why didn't he fire her in October 2012 and not on Dec 26,2012 two months later. I am pleading with you Mr. Moran to please find it in your heart to rehire Christina... She has been an excellent employee for over 6 yrs at the same store #143.
She is a single mom with two small children.in this day and age and because of the economy please find it in your heart to be a "GREAT" CEO and bend the rule just this one time! Please call me at 619-787-3677. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org!
I surely do hope you will respond to my plea and answer me and rehire Christina Chambers. She is a great top-notch groomer, everyone in the grooming department and other departments think very highly about her. I thought when I met Craig the manager at store #143 he would be a good man. He is someone I would look at to fire.
This is NOT how managers treat their excellent employees!
Thank you for listening to a very sad, heart wrenched woman (age 70). Sincerely. Helene and Nancy Greenspan San Diego, Ca 92110
