Complaint / review text:
On the 23rd of Sept 2014 at 07H35 I withdrew R500 cash from an ATM at Engine Garage in Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth. After a very long moment of enxiety, I was presented with an error message "Trans Cancelled - Time out" and a receipt followed also by an SMS notification that "R500 was deducted from my account". Of course I checked on my cellphone banking app and yes the R500 was deducted.
Another Standard Bank ATM at SPAR around the corner. A gentleman that was on that ATM for 5 minutes experienced the response too from the ATM.
Later that day I went inside a branch in Golden Acre. I was told that Standard Bank had issues that morning but the money was reversed. I immediately went to an adjacent ATM. To my surprise, my balance was just like before I withdrew R500. I then withdrew R500 again.
On 24th, my salary came through. But I realized that my balance was R500 low. I scrutinized my statement online. It shows that the money was indeed deducted and my balance is still R500 low.
I do not have time for driving up and down and for standing on your forever long queues trying to get what is mine back. Please put my money back to where it supposed to be, in my account.
