On 1/11/2014 we swiped our bank card at a pharmacy - and the transaction was duplicated.
On Monday, 03/11/2014 we contacted the bank and was told that there was a system error and that the transactions will be automatically written back.
1 Transaction has gone through our account (which is correct); but the duplicated transaction is still showing as an outstanding transaction and uncleared. So in effect R569 is still being reserved and we are unable to access our own funds due to a banking error.
Phoning the branch does not help as you are told the "system" must correct the transaction.
How many funds have ABSA incorrectly "reserved" and ppl are unable to use their own money???
