I've been an outsurance client since 2011, In Dec 2014, i was involved in an accident & my vehicle was a writeoff. I didn't think i would need to question Outsurance Integrity in terms of the settlement process.
My vehicle was insured @ retail value, i was told that the RV was R129 900 & i would receive settlement once the Bank has been settled.in January, a 3rd party tells me that the RV on my written off vehicle is around R143 000, another person tells me the RV is R156 000, so i do my own research & find that the RV is R156 900. I contact outsurance to share my findings & am told that they use the trans union auto dealer guide to verify Retail Values & if i want, i should contact them myself. I call trasnunion who verifies that the RV on the vehicle based on year model, mileage, condition is between R152 454.90 & R 161 471.05. I call outsurance to share my findings again & am told that someone will get back to me, i am STILL WAITING. Furthermore, a premium is deducted for a car i no longer have, i query this & am told that the reversal will be done in 4 days, nothing happens, i call again, this time i am told i need to submit a bank statement for the reversal!!! Still waiting
