Complaint / review text:
I took out a smart device with FNB and because i was unemployed for over a year i fell behind with payments.
I was informed my account has been handed over and i received counless sms saying they are proceding with judgement.
On 26/02/2015 my FNB cheque account was debited with the amount of R1000 without my authorisation and without any arrangement or prior notice.
I called the FNB smart device call centre for a refund and I spoke to an ill mannered call centre agent called Mandla Mutela, i asked him who authorised the debit and he told me they have the right to debit according to the terms and conditions which give no authority for the debit.
The call centre agent Mandla even went as far as threaten me with a debit for the full balance of the smart device.
I am so dissapointed and angry, i have decided to close my FNB cheque account tomorrow should my money not be refunded.
