On Friday night, 13 February 2015 I withdrew R500 at an ATM at 19h02 at BP Beyers Naude.
I got a message that I must be patient its processing my request.
30 minutes later the ATM was still busy and I knew that the machine was hanging and will not return my money.
The problem is that I received an sms and the money went of my bank account.
I spent 2 hours on the phone tto Standard bank on Saturday and another hour on Monday, the 16th of Feb.
No one can assist me, every department transfers my call to another department and the advice I get is all different.
Every one passes the buck, it is either incompetence or red tape to discourage me from claiming my R500.
It is more the principle than the money.
I have started to record all the various answers and taken names of those who cannot help me, do not know what to do.
Going to a branch is very frustrating as I get the same treatment.
I know that in 99.99 % of requests I will not get an answer from Standard Bank, so I am trying Hello Peter as well. I need an explanation from the bank and will not stop trying, it has already costs me more than R500, will carry one into court, it is.
