Been a client for 16 yrs.
Been unemployed for nearly 18 months.
In this time ensured payment on credit cards.
2 months ago I realized the situation was going to get to a stage that I would struggle to make necessary payments.
I contacted FNB credit card division, advised them what was going to happen.
I was told they cannot make any payment arrangements as I was not in arrears and suggested I let the account go into areas in order to make a pmt arrangement.
Well during the last 2 months I have consistently been in touch with them (fnb card division) advising them of what was happening job and pmt wise, not running away from my situation.
Then advised them that I could only afford to pay r750 at the end of April.
Dealt with Donovan, a senior manager apparently and he advised that he would have to get authorization, never heard from him again, but did receive an sms from fnb referring to the arrangement payment of r750 to be made.
Well I paid r840 on the 24/04/2015 only to have r4056 dr out of my cheque acc on 02/05 fnb card dept say they cannot refund me this money. I need this money to live on for the rest of the month. Totally unfair. Been totally transparent with bnk.
