Complaint / review text:
I've been reading some of the reviews before deciding to write one myself. It appears that LG has no customer care once a product / item has been bought regardless where from.
My 74. Year old mum bought an LG Plasma TV 3 years ago sadly from Comet who ceased trading not long after purchase, but knowing it was a TV which usually last 10 years or more who would think that she might have needed them exactly 3 years later because the TV is not good for purpose. Under the sales of goods act if a product does not meet the standards required (obviously depending on the product) it is still covered for a period of six years under the European law.
When my mum telephoned LG customer service? She was rudely spoken to advised that the European law does not count and put the phone down in her twice. This is when she called me. Now I politely sent LG an email explaining the 6 year European Law and was told once again that the TV is not covered. Unfortunately, they don't give a toss once they get your money and the elderly sadly have to put up with the rudeness of the young customer service staff who have no respect.
If anyone else has has similar problems please let me know what your outcome was as I am seriously considering taking them to a small claims court for compensation and refund.
