Complaint / review text:
My 6 year old GE Profile refrigerator (model PFS22SISBSS) broke 2 weeks ago. Evidently, the compressor died. GE, in their infinite wisdom, doesn't have any in stock. I'm currently waiting for them to actually make a new compressor (at least 80 on back order). I am insulin dependant (diabetes type 1) and had to get all new insulin, as my remaining supply went bad. GE cannot guarantee a new part by the end of June (which would be 5 weeks from the problems inception). I am moving out of my home on June 30. So i do not want the 20% discount they offered on buying a new refrigerator (as i will be simply giving new said product to the next homeowner). GE has been less than helpful, even hearing the plight of my medical condition and the time constraint on me moving out of my property. I couldn't be more disappointed, inconvenienced and out of control right now. I was even told by a supervisor on the phone that the part might get delayed due to delays in the warehouse.
