I received an email ad for WinZip Utiliites Suite. Believing that WZ is a well known and reputable company I purchased and installed the software.
I activated the program, one portion of which was to "update drivers". One of the drivers updated was my Qualcomm Wireless adapter driver. The "updated" new driver did not work which meant I had no wireless access. I broke out my Ethernet cable and on my attempt to reload the driver I repetitively got a bluescreen crash on bootup.
Running in SAFE mode, I immediately sent a help request to the WZ help site noted with the software. Now over a week later I have still not heard from WinZip. I took my laptop to a local pro service person who dumped the driver and the WinZip Utilities Suite and then reloaded the driver.
I cancelled my order and expect a full refund. What is most frustrating is the "HELP" I am yet to receive from WinZip, forget the inconvenience and cost to me to repair the mess.
