Absa insurance appointed Dee & L Plumbers to replace my (reported 30 June) pipes on Tuesday 1 July, claim eventually approved by FOGI on 2 July (after I complained about poor turnaround time) and work done 3 July. That the work done was shoddy and unsatisfactory is an understatement. The work is incomplete and I still have no water. I question Absa's choice of contractors. As Dee and L ignore all my calls and messages. The assessor (Mr Willemse) promised to phone back an hour ago. From my limited knowledge of these matters, I expect my insurance to return my property to it's original condition prior to the incident. This is not the case. Can't trace the middle-man FOGI either.
