I went about 1-1/2 yr. To Aspen Dental in Findlay, Ohio.
I had a really bad tooth that needed to be pulled. The ads made it sound so affordable. I had to pay up front for all the services. They say the X-rays are free. But that is not so, the x-rays are disbursed thru the services you do get.
IE: they did pull the one tooth and it cost $580... The reg. Dentist does it for $350... I didn't go to my regular dentist because I lost insurance and my job thru a plant closing. I thought Aspen would be more affordable the way they advertise. I was given antibiotics first and scheduled for the pulling 3 days later.
By the time I got there on the 3rd day I had seen 3 different dentists. The dentist who novacated me, had to do so 3 times to make me numb... And the dentist who pulled my tooth did everything but put his foot on the chair (cartoon style) to do so. He gave me a prescription for Vicodin which to say the least, I really needed. When I left they were telling me I had to come in for some kind of gum care. At $250 a shot.
4 times per year... Pay up front before your appointment. I told them I didn't have the money for that at the time. I never went back. A year later a tooth broke off my upper denture and I went back to my old dentist, with my tail between my legs. You get what you pay for is what they say, but Aspen is not cheap for what they do.
I guess a dentist who graduates at the bottom of his class... Ie: Aspen Dentists. Is still called a dentist and is employed by Aspen.
