I had an appointment to check a tooth. The dentist said it was bad and needed a root canal. But I had to go to another dentist that wasn't a Bright Now office for the root canal and return to him for the crown. I decided I wasn't going to two different dentist for one tooth.
Two days later my back tooth really started hurting me real bad, so on a Sunday I called the office and a dentist called back. He called in Hydrocodone/Ibuprofen and Amoxicillin for me and told me to be at the office at 8am. That morning I was in so much pain and feeling loopy from the hydrocodone. He said that I needed root canal on the back tooth and also the side tooth that the other dentist had said but also the one next to it also. He left and the lady from the front desk came in and had me sign papers for payment or the work cannot be done. Keep in mind that I'm in tears with pain because of that back tooth. The dentist returned and did the work on the teeth.
Upon leaving the office I was given the cost of the visit and what my insurance paid. The total of on the bill was $9,560.00 and my part is $3,860.00 and with the finance charge my total is $4,372.93. I just learned a few days later that there was another tooth that they did a root canal on. I went in to have the one back emergency tooth taken care of and left with three teeth being done with a whopping $9,560.00 total.
Make sure you’re not on Hydrocodone when signing papers.
