I signed up with excede internet service a few months back. I realized within minutes of the installation I made a mistake.
After only 25 minutes after the installer left, I had to contact technical support because the internet wasn't working. Over the course of the next few months, I had to contact technical support dozens of times for the same issue, No internet connection. Everytime, I get the same excuse, Maintenece. What a load of bull. I spoke to a supervisor to complain about the service, which he hung up on me.
After calling back, i reached the same manager and continued our conversation. I informed him that I would like to cancel my service. He stated that because I signed a contract for 2 years, that I would be required to pay the full contract off. I told him that I never recalled signing a contract, he said the contract was signed by the tech that completed the install and I joined in the contract by a verbal agreement of the installation.
I asked for a copy of these " contracts" and he agreed and e-mail them to me. At the bottom of the contract, it does show my name entered electronically, but heres the kicker, My name was spelled wrong - first and last name was incorrect. I never signed this contract and do not believe I am liable for the cancellation fees associated with cancelling this very unreliable internet. Word of advice for everybody, DO NOT sign up with this company, its a waste of money.
They do not care if you reliable internet, you are just a paycheck. As of today 1/27/2013, my internet has been down all day. I have called well over 30 times, everytime receiving a notice to call back tomorrow. I have sent emails, no response.
Tired of wasting my money. Excede will not get another dollar from me!
