Complaint / review text:
I purchased a Polo Gti from Lindsay saker kempton park on Monday 29/09/2014, upon getting home after fetching the car, I heard a unusual sound from the car. I immediately phoned my salesperson and informed her about the noise. I was told to bring the car back in on Tuesday. Upon the technician inspecting the vehicle I was told that this vehicle which was only a day old had to booked in at the workshop in order for an inspection to be carried out.
I cannot understand why a new vehicle is allowed to be sold to a customer that is not 100%. I found out on Wednesday that it was a clip on the brake pads that were not correctly tensioned which will make a noise during going forward or backward. I was also told that the problem is off a minor nature... I beg to differ as brakes on a vehicle is second to no other component on the vehicle.
I did request a new vehicle seeing that it was only 24 hours since my finding or I want to cancel the contract, the dealer principal has refused to cancel the deal.
To all unsuspecting south africans out there... Be very careful when dealing with Lindsay saker Kempton Park
