Complaint / review text:
I bought a 2011 Chev Utility, 85000km at the end of October 2011. I only had about 10min to test drive the vehicle. We went back to the showroom to complete the paperwork. The salesman assured me that he knows the vehicle and that all services was done by them and the vehicle had a FULL SERVICE HISTORY. The vehicles asking price was R90000 but the salesman never once mentioned anything to me about "on the road fee" which is an extra R3000.
Beginning of December I booked my vehicle for its 90000km service at a Chev dealership. The dealer noticed that the 75000km, which is a major service, was never done and the 60000km service was done at 70000km, 10000km over.
I asked about the service history and he went and checked and phoned me back to confirm that the 75000km service was not done. The salesman told me to bring the vehicle to them and they will take care of the service but that's it.
Fact of the matter is that I now sit with a 2011 Chev Utility that I bought for R93000 R1200 bank fees that does not have a full service history, and if I want to sell this vehicle, the cost of not having a full service history is going to on me. Have revered the issue to the Ombutsman.
