I booked a room that was supposed to cost $40.82.
Unfortunately, the app either malfunctioned it needs some serious tweeting (never had this issue before) the app put me a day "AHEAD".." it was only 7pm the day OF booking/the day I wanted booked!) Not only did I get charged "TWICE" $40.82 WHICH THE AGENT "promised!" That's all I will be charged... I THEN, go to the front desk and I'm told I'm being charged just $20 for incidentals. The next day I notice my account is in the negative due to $114 being charged to my account by the HOTEL.
After multiple calls and hours on the phone with HOTELS.com
They tell me it is the hotels fault and the hotel's "district manager" is saying it's HOTELS.com
after they both do some computer stuff they both come to the concision that the agent from hotels.com had given out my credit card number and security code and authoritied a charge to my account without!!! My authorization!!!
last time i checked and knew...!!! No one!!!
can authorize a charge on anyone's account but the account holder... Without permission or prior notification of a charge is and will be considered fraud!!!
especially if your policy is to never disclose any information to any third-party companies...
Yet, with the wrong doing AND (assuming they record all calls) their admittance of THEIR MESS UP... They still refuse to pay my overdraft fees where they incurred over $300 in just OVERDRAFT FEE'S.
Not even a call back after a month of calling to figure things out. I was initialed offered a refund for all my stays and $21 refund for the price difference due to the LIE OF LOWEST PRICE GUARANTEED! That's BS... False advertising!!!
I have proof of all events and money spent and refunded and what times and dates and names of all agents, supervisors, and management personnel that I've chatted with. All rude! And dishonest. Worst experience ever!!!
FYI. All from Asia and Philippines...
