Complaint / review text:
Last Sunday, March 25,2012, I visited McDonald's restaurant at 7:15 pm, located at 1413 North Vine Street, Hollywood California 90028. At the counter, there was an African American man standing at the cash register talking to a young woman. I waited for about 10 minutes while he was just talking to her. I was the only person in line. He saw me waiting for him to take the order. He turned reluctantly to me and ask me what I want. He asked very rudely. I asked him to give me a senior coffee. He said, "You can't get a senior coffee without purchasing cookie or some other item."
So I asked him how much is the regular price for a small coffee. He replied "You can't afford to pay it, " so I asked him again to tell me how much is it. He said it's $1.60. Then I called a friend who works at McDonald's at the corner of Melrose street and Vermont Ave in Los Angeles, California. He told me that there is a senior discount. When I came back in 5 minutes to tell him that, he said to me not to bother him. I said to him that he is behaving very rude. He turned around in a very threatening manner and walked towards me to hit me. When I told him that I want to talk to the manager, he said go and talk to anyone. He was angry because I interrupted him talking to young lady he was talking to. I asked him to tell me his name. He said, "Just leave. You don't need my name." When a shift leader came, he told her not to give me his name. The shift leader did gave me the store address and location but she did not gave me his name. She told me his name.
When I told the manager in the morning shift, he said there is no such person who works there. On Monday, March 26,2012, I visited the restaurant at the same location at 6:15 am. He was the assistant manager. I told him what I wrote here. I asked him to tell me the name of that employee so I can mention the name to the McDonald's franchise complaint department. He did not tell me either. The employees should be having name tags and should be courteous. This African black guy has an attitude of a street criminal. I am a customer and I give business to this restaurant. I have visited other restaurants like Carl's Jr., Jack in the Box and Pollo Loco and I get a very courteous response from the employees of these restaurants. It is a shame that this McDonald's restaurant has such a bad employee attitude. Jack in the box and Carl's Jr, restaurant even has a card to report any rude attitude or compliments about the food and employee attitude. Your restaurant has no such thing. I will never visit this place again.
