Complaint / review text:
I have not used my email for about a year because my computer broke and I didn't get it fix. Today, several of my contacts received four or more emails using my email address. I tried to terminate the account but could not get into the system. Called customer service and talked to someone and asked her to delete the account or just fix the account where no one else could use it. She stated she couldn't because I didn't know one of the question that was on file. I do not believe that question was one that I chose. Why would Yahoo not freeze an email account that was sending out virus (per customer service}? They could check the account to see that it had not be used for about a year. No, they have rather the emails to continue where it could cause someone's computer get infested with a virus. I will never use Yahoo again, that is if I ever get the account deleted, and should have lesson to everyone who told me not to use Yahoo because of their experiences with them. I would think they would take security first for safety but was very wrong.
