Booked a move with Jeff @ Rydell 2 days prior to the move (after calling him 2 weeks ago). He called me the morning of the move and asked if I could change to an earlier time. I couldn't change the time and he confirmed he would be there at the original time of 1230. At 11:50 he calls and says he will be 15-20 minutes late. I told him that amount of time was no problem. I pick up my brother and we show up at my place and start moving everything down to the basement level.
45 minutes later Jeff calls and says he is still in Burnaby and won't be in the West End for another 30 minutes. He then asks if it is raining where I am and that his pickup truck doesn't have a tarp. What kind of mover has a pickup truck in Vancouver WITHOUT a tarp? At that point I drive my brother to his appointment and come back and wait with my stuff in the basement. Another 15 minutes goes by and Jeff calls me to say that his truck broke down. He says he will call his friend and see if he can do my move and that he will call me back in 6 or 7 minutes.
25 minutes goes by and I have still not heard from him. I called him twice and guess what? He was too much of a d*ebag to answer my phone call. So now I am sitting in the basement of my building with my stuff and 2 hours have gone by from the original time. I start making call after call and finally find someone who can come by in TWO HOURS. The guy who came by was awesome, super reasonable price and I would be happy to refer him.
Moral of the story? I should have done more research on Jeff O'Neill @ Rydell. Now that I have found out his last name it is easy to search him and see the 'F' grade from the Better Business Bureau under his other company Total Care Moving. Jeff tried to change the time, didn't have a tarp, didn't call me back, didn't answer his phone AND STOOD ME UP! Avoid rydell at all costs.
