My local post office only put the first notification slip for a parcel in my postbox AFTER they had returned it to Johannesburg. Ever since then (2 March) I have desperately been trying to have the parcel intercepted and returned to Bloemfontein. An employee from the Bloemfontein Hub sent an email, Eugenia Kekana sent an email (4 March), I sent several emails to customer services. Johannesburg International NEVER answer the phone! Tried for days before I got an answer only to be told that I will have to call back the following week seeing that the parcel had not arrived yet and you don't have the type of system that could flag the parcel. It took two days again of phoning non-stop before someone answered. This employee assured me that the parcel will be sent back to Bloemfontein. I've been phoning again since Monday and only got through this afternoon to find out why the parcel has still not arrived - only to be told that it was sent back to the UK on 15 March. I also lodged a complaint on Hellopeter (4 March) - the post office only responded 13 March, but also assured me that the parcel will be intercepted and returned! Who's going to pay the postage to have it returned to SA?
