Application for Unabridged Birth certificate 5 mo

Complaint / review text:
My original application for my sons unabridged birth certificate was on the 13 March this year. After hearing nothing from them I returned to edenvale Home Affairs to collect it only to be informed "they" had lost the file. But that I should not worry, complete these two forms and your application will be dealt with Urgently!
These forms took two weeks to reach Pretoria from Edenvale, where I have been informed on more than one occasion it's been marked as Urgent when it wasn't. Please call tomorrow and you will be updated. I have literally been passed from pillar to post with no assistance or show of concern. I found out today that "they" have lost the file AGAIN, and that I just need to apply again! I was finally put through to a Supervisor who has promised to call me back, I will believe it when it happens. This birth certificate is essential for visa applications and necessary to pass through our own passport control, as required by our Home Affairs Dept. They should understand and anticipate the Urgency of these applications!
Home Affairs are NOT prepared for the onslaught of applications for Unabridged Birth certificates, they have made a requirement for travel.
