We applied for my sons unabridged birth certificate in February 2014 as I was travelling to the UK on holiday and urgently needed to take him with me. It didnt arrive in time and I couldnt take him with me in the end. It is now almost a year later and although I escalated a complaint on 5th Jan via email and had responses from Gerald Meder asking Geironisa Valley to respond to me - nothing has happened and no one has informed me of the status of his certificate or anything! No response, no communication, I have been calling them for 2 days straight and there is never any answer. There is no way to get in touch with them other than to queue at Wynberg for 5 hours which I cannot do because of work. I now want to travel again and wont be able to without this unabridged birth certificate. I will be going to newspaper and radio stations complaining about this until something gets done. This is absolutely pathetic service, they have taken my money and now I sit without purchased goods.
