I am utterly disgusted in Multichoice took my Standard decoder in as I had an 8118 error two weeks ago. Problem was that it was a power supply problem. Was advised that as I don't have Decoder care I would have to buy a replacement decoder and that this decoder have been coming in frequently for this problem. Agent advised me that I would pay R399 for an HD decoder. Went in today to buy one and told that I have to pay R469 the as the decoder is not that price for a replacement. Zee tells me that she is not saying I am lying about what the previous agent told me but that is not the price. So I can buy the same faulty decoder or buy an HD decoder. Pick n pay is selling the HD decoder for the price they are asking. Is this the loyalty from DSTV. Cancelled my extra view as Dstv shows consumers that they need to pay as all they are interested in is our money. They do a software upgrade on my old decoder and say that the decoder is telling me that it will eventually fail. My only recourse is swap for the same and pay or take the old one and wait for it to fail or upgrade and pay more. Thanks Dstv for nothing.
