My sister-in-law died Wednesday as the result of an accident, so my brother contacted Baca's Funeral Chapel today and talked with an employee named. Since Baca's is closed for the holiday weekend, my brother set up an appointment to discuss arrangements on Tuesday. During his conversation with, he happened to mention that our father passed away in January, and his services were held at La Paz. Said that wasn't a problem, but a few hours later she called back to cancel our appointment. She said her supervisor, told her to cancel and to tell us that since we used La Paz before, we should just use them.
I was shocked and told her my mother's choice of La Paz for my father's services should have nothing to do with my brother and the choices available to him. Was unmoved so I asked to speak with, but said he was unavailable. I left a message, and he's supposed to call me back on Tuesday, but I won't hold my breath. The staff at Baca's Funeral Chapel must have no compassion, and their actions are absolutely appalling.
