Complaint / review text:
After getting the usual run-around by the so-called "Consultants" at the Vodacom shop in Greenstone and being shunted from shop to Call Centre and then being told to go back to the shop, I was very nearly at the point of throwing my newly acquired data SIM in the bin and procuring another from a different provider.
As a last attempt, I walked into the Vodashop at Vodacom World in Midrand and when my ticket was called, I was greeted by a very broad smiling Sechaba Malefane.
He could see that I was, by this stage, a little irritated with Vodacom, but he handled the situation perfectly. After taking in everything I told him, he said he was sure he knew the reason and had a fix.
Unfortunately the person at the shop who had the required access to the system was on lunch, but he had a solution and sent me up the path to Vodacom customer care, armed with the exact phrase to give them.
They duly complied and the problem was solved!
If anyone has technical problems with Vodacom, just go to him first and save yourselves a lot of "call the call centre / go into the shop" run-around, which customers absolutely DESPISE!
