Complaint / review text:
After my phone was I tried to report it to Cell C - I was then told that they couldnt find any of my details and I should go to a Cell C store (thanks guys). I then tried to call Csurance and was greeted by a recording saying "this number is not available on the MTN Network " (really professional to quote the competition). When i did eventually get through I was told that they could not give me my IMEI number in order to blacklist the phone?
When I did eventually find the number and blacklist the phone i then sent my forms to the number on the Cell C website. The next day I was told they had no record of my claim because I sent it to the wrong email address & they have been trying to get Cell C to change it (good job chaps). I have now been told that my iPhone 5 is only insured for R9400 and I must either get a iPhone 4 (is this a joke) or I mst get a 5C which is worth R10 500 and I must pay in for it. They also value the 5S at R14 500. These phones retail at R6900 and R7899 respectively - how is it that they get away with this blatant over evaluation? And will they pay out the amount my phone is insured for? Of course not. Disgraceful. I cannot wait to switch in 6 months.
