Complaint / review text:
I am on Thumbtack for the 2nd time now—I was locked out of my first profile (with many positive reviews) for some reason so I just made a new one. I am a dog trainer, and quotes cost 2 credits.
Usually I purchase 10 credits every 2 weeks or so. Very rarely do I get replies on Thumbtack, but I've found that including my contact info in the actual message helps them contact me elsewhere—one woman said she actually couldn't respond to my message on the website which I thought was interesting. Knowing my business, it usually drys up around this time anyway, but even in the busy season I don't get a lot of requests—maybe 3-4 a day and at least 1 is too far (15 miles) unless they're wanting in home training.
Especially knowing that you can read the message and see the price in the email Thumbtack sends you, it irritates me when people open the message (wasting my credit) and then don't contact me. So I think Thumbtack should change the refund rules slightly.
