Buying at Zales jewelry was my first experience buying a wedding ring. Should have done my research, but I gave them a benefit of a doubt... That was a huge mistake!
Once the ring was paid for, it had to be resized. Resizing took out the gold quality stemp out or so they claimed. After 4 weeks first stone fell out, got it replaced. Two weeks later another stone fell out.
Zales sent a new ring to replace the one I've purchased. When the new ring came in, it was the wrong size. So it had to be resized again! Four more weeks passed and again, another stone fell out.
By this time I've realized what mistake I have made going to Zales. The sales person suggested to go with a different ring. I wanted my money back!!! This was turning into a pain in the neck, rather than being a hassle free purchase.
Of course, you can not get your money back, which they don't tell your. The new ring that I've purchased from them was twice the price of the first one. I thought because I had to go with a different ring, at least they can transfer my warranty... They did not! I had to buy a new warranty.
I've decided to take things to the corporate level, for all the headache this caused my wife, by this time, and I. Wrote a letter to the corporate about everything that I had to deal with. Got a response, saying that they will look into my case and get back to me in a couple of weeks.
It has been 7 month and no word from corporate. Please, please stay away from Zales if you want to save yourself a headache and money.
