Complaint / review text:
About 6 yrs ago I went to Holiday Hair Salon to get a cut and color all went well until I was leaving the salon. They have rows of chairs set up along the wall with a huge display of products in the middle this display was about 4 feet wide and 6 feet tall filled with products that they sell, the walk way between the chairs and display was only about 2 1/2 feet wide if that, as I was leaving there was a large puddle of water on the floor that I did not see and slipped in, I flew about 2 feet off the floor and knocked 2 other people off their chairs while also hitting the display and almost taking it down but I some how managed to grab the shelving and pulled it forward keeping it from falling and hitting other people.
Well I messed up my right hip and right wrist very badly from the fall, the manager would not even talk to me but one of the girls that worked there did speak right up and said that they all knew the a child had spilled water there on the floor and they had not gotten around to cleaning it up. 3 days later I ended up at the emergency room because the pain in my hip and wrist became unbearable I had hoped that I was just sore from the fall and all would be fine but that was not the case, I later found out that the fall caused my bursa sack in my hip and wrist to burst something that can not be repaired and will only get worse as I age. Now I can not sit, walk, stand for very long with out serious pain, I do not have my job any more because I can not sit at my desk for 8 hrs, and I can not walk the warehouse. I called Regis Corp and spoke with a woman named Jodi to report that I suffered a fall and how I was seeing different dr's and taking pain pills, getting x-rays and MRI's she treated me like I was some kind of NUT and RIPOFF artist... I feel they dont give a about their customers, I went back to talk to the girl that spoke up about the water spill but she had been let go (imagine that).
I did not have money for a law suit and I really didnt want to be that kind of person but this company has no feeling for their customers except to take your cash, I wish to this day that I never walked in there as I still have to take pain pills and get injections that I now have to find a way to pay for since this is a pre-existing condition now that I dont have my insurance do to loosing my job. I see now that they have put carpet down and do not have that display any longer so I guess they finally figured out that they can make it safer for people to get in and out, its a shame that someone in there didnt care enough to just put a wet floor sign out so I could live my life the way I did before, Pain Free and active.
