Massage Envy
Massage Envy does not allow you to use massages that you've paid for.

Complaint / review text:
FYI, Massage Envy does not allow you to use the massages that you have paid for once you close your account. We have an account in good standing. Our contract was up 6 months ago but we continued to pay in each month because we thought we were racking up massages. Not so. Between my husband and I we have 22 unused massages which we were informed that we have 30 days to use. OR I can pay $220 and gift them out to people. If you divide how much we've paid total by the amount of massages we've been allowed to complete, the cost is OUTRAGEOUS. My advice is to go to a good independent massage therapist, (one that lives on their reputation, not just any warm body that they can find and underpay $15/h.)

Here is a quote from and employee "I was TRAINED, from day one, to be sneaky, evasive, and downright manipulate people into legal, binding contracts that there was no way out of, even in times of serious financial struggle, where the customer was ill informed as to what they were signing up for."

STAY AWAY, I am not, I understood that a year contract was a year contract. It was never mentioned that I would not be able to use massages that I had paid for especially WHEN I WAS NO LONGER UNDER CONTRACT. I did ask upon signing up if my massages would roll over and was told that they did. I asked if I could keep them if I did not use them and was told yes. I asked all of these questions and was never replied to with an answer that would indicate that I would lose what I had accrued if I decided to stop collecting massages.
