Incompetent staff and poor product knowledge

I have been happy with my personal bank, but when i opened a PayPal account, i was informed that PayPal only deal with FNB accounts.

So I took some time out of my life to open an FNB account to use with PayPal. I was assured, when i opened the account, that the account will most definitely work with PayPal.

Much to my dismay, i have been struggling with linking my account to my PayPal profile for almost 3 weeks now! It has been an ongoing drama between callcentres, banks and PayPal which has resulted in a HEFTY phone bill due to the overseas calls to and local calls to FNB. It has also resulted in nearlt R150 for PayPal fees that were unsuccessful due to the account i opened being the wrong kind of account.
I approached the FNB banker with this and he got confirmation from his supervisor, and apparently his manager that this account is for shure 100% OK to use. Yet here I am, sitting wth thousands of ranfds due to me and I cannot get it to my FNB account because it is the wrong account.

I find the lack of product knowledge absolutely jaw-droppingly POOR. It is the only bank that works with PayPal and NOBODY KNOWS WHAT IS THE ACTUAL PROCEDURE OR WHAT IS ACTUALLY REQUIRED.
