Complaint / review text:
I opened a gold cheque account after being with FNB for 15 years. This would turn out to be the worse change I ever made in my life. I had to wait an extra week to receive my card after I was told that my card had arrived at the bank. When I got to the bank (which is 25km from where I live) they realized that it had been posted to the wrong branch and I had to return to the bank a week later. Then on the 22nd of August 2014 I go onto internet banking only to find that my account has been frozen due to the incompetence of one of the consultants who opened the account, my proof of address was not scanned properly onto the system and after almost one year they freeze my account
Yesterday I had to stand in a long queue ON MY BIRTHDAY so after threatening the consultant with placing a report on hello peter did she unfreeze the account, so this morning as im about to withdraw money I realize that they debited my account with R1200 which they are suppose to take on the LAST DAY OF THE MONTH. Called them and got the we cant do anything to help you. Once again after I mentioned hello peter they tell me to phone back the next day but now it will take 5 days: (im closing this acc
