United Healthcare
So far have spent over a week trying to get an MRI approved.

Complaint / review text:
My Orthopedic surgeon ordered an MRI after he did an x-ray of my knee an found the meniscus in my knee pretty much gone. I am 78 years old and currently can hardly walk and am in a lot of pain.

United Health keeps denying the procedure and tells me I have to go to physical therapy for 3 weeks, even though the physical therapist won't touch me without an MRI and physical therapy is the worst thing for me. My doctor wants the MRI so he can see if I need a full knee replacement or a partial. My company I retired from is probably one of the largest contracts United Healthcare has, I am hoping along with many others I can see that contract canceled. Blue Cross never pulled this when we had them.

If I were able to get Medicare I would not have a problem (I only have Medicare part B). Never take out united healthcare insurance if you can help it!!!
