Complaint / review text:
I own a flat that has water damage on the one interior wall which was caused by a leaking roof and leaking pipes. I was told that the body corporate would handle this as it falls under their insurance. An assessor came out and we discussed the issue. He pointed out the issues that needed to be sorted. A plumber was sent out and they were told there was a leaking shower when the assessor told me they will come do a leak test. Now the time comes to have the work done and all they are willing to do is sand the wall and paint it. I got the leaking shower fixed at my own cost because I could not wait for them. They refuse to fix the bathroom door that was damaged due to the leak. I also need to replace part of the slide the door runs on due to the water damage. They won't fix the problem they will mask it so that in 6 months time I have to claim again. I currently have my car and house insurance with them which I will also be moving shortly. The M&F representative hasn't been helpful as all he can tell me is that I need to sort out the problem as it's "maintenance" issues. I have no faith in the representative and refuse to deal with them.
