I went to Absa Ben Swart street branch in 2012, to close both accounts as per Absa call centre. Took my ID with signed a load of documents, was told there was no outstanding fees and was under the impression that it was the last of Absa. Yesterday 25 September 2014 I received a mail from Absa regarding my accounts that are still OPEN...!!! How in the world does this happen??? Why did I have to go into the branch and sign for everything if NOTHING was done??? Now 2 years later Absa knows NOTHING about this and I as the previous customer should supply them with all related details??? Heaven forbid Absa should TRY to do their job properly for once!!!
