Charged by for an Overdraft which I do not have

I received by Bank charges statement via email a few minutes ago and the date of issued on the statement is 30/09/2014 and the statement charges are dated from the 30/08/2014 - 29/09/2014. I was charged R57.00 for an overdraft which I do not have. I called the General enquiries number 0860008600 and spoke Kim. I explained my query and she said that I have to go into the branch to query my overdraft charge because she can only read the statement from the 01/09/ other words I should drive out nearly R100.00 in fuel to query an overdraft of R57.00. Where is the logic? Earlier in the year I had my bank charges reduced as I felt that ABSA Bank wasn't doing anything for me except charging me exorbitant charges in bank charges. Well ABSA bank, you have just helped me to make up my mind as I have been considering to close my account for the past few months and opening an account with FNB.
