Standard bank recently offered me a current account & promised to change the two debit orders from my savings to the current account. I arranged for my monthly salary to be deposited into the current account and no longer into the savings account. At the end of August both debit orders went unpaid because Standard bank neglected to change the debit orders as promised. The debits were done against my savings account which now had insufficient funds to cover the debit orders. I was compelled to take an afternoon off work and went to the Standard bank in Durbanville to sort the matter out. The particular consultant assured me that he did arrange the necessary changes and he said that he would process it again.in the meantime I paid the two accounts and was billed an additional R100 penalty fee from Vodacom and R10 from Zone Fitness due to the returned debit orders. Yesterday I was contacted by Vodacom again and told the debit order was again returned as it is still being debited against my old account and I will have to make payment and again pay a R100 penalty fee. Standard bank dont care about their clients, they are causing this!
