Complaint / review text:
I applied for a pledge which they granted on an xx value. However a month later when i wanted to convert the pledge to a formal application, standard bank dropped the pledge by almost 500k.
They now require a 10% deposit too and the call centre cannot explain the scoring process. Not fair!
This is not a fair process and the pledge took up a lot of time and effort - Though it is not guranteed, the time and effort is real waste.
I hope I can get some concrete answers from standard bank through the submission of this email!
