Last year i was retrenched and after a battle with fnb a arrangement was made that i paid R200 a month back on my credit card. That was the AGREEMENT!!! Since i started getting back on my feet i paid what i could lately which was R1000 DEPENDING on what i earned a month. Yesterday a mail was sent saying no payment was received for this month. Last i checked a month ends on 30/31st. Today i received a sms showing a R1000 was transferred to my account to my credit card. WITHOUT my permission. I do NOT have a garnish so as far as im concerned that makes you to take what is not due to you considering no arrangement was also made to pay a R1000 monthly. When i contacted this Maria she told me its a LEGAL matter so they can do deductions as they please. What REALLY blew me away was her stupidity by saying i must SETTLE my outstanding R11000 balance. If im a fnb client with a credit card why they seeking to settle and close a card? Then how would fnb as a bank continue to make money? Does fnb clients also know that every december when bonus and salary gets put in clients acc. BEFORE 25th fnb deducts for fear of not receiving money december? THAT also a legal excuse to take money from clients?
