Complaint / review text:
I applied for a homeloan and Standard Bank granted me the loan, shortly thereafter, a call centre agent from standard bank contacted me and offered me a cheque account as I wasnt a banking client, as part of his sales pitch, he told me that 1,5% will still be deducted from my homeloan interest rate when the building is completed. I took his word for it and budgetted accordingly, little did I know my homeloan will cost me almost a R1000 more than what he made me believe!
I went to the Paarl Mall branch and they put me in the phone with another consultant who didnt really listen to what I told him.
I then contacted Standard bank via their facebook page on 27 August, but they just tell me they are following it up with their team-for 2 months! -this is ridiculous!
