I recently posted a complaint about FNB allowing a transaction from Garcinia Basics to go through on my wife's account.in the complaint I highlighted the fact that there were insufficient funds to cover the transaction as well as our instruction to block all transactions from this merchant. We had a response from FNB disputes department who requested we forward all the documentation we had relating to this which we did. However we were then informed that it will take 30 days for FNB to communicate via VISA with the merchant to get this transaction reversed.
This is totally unacceptable to us and we informed the consultant working with this case to that regard. If i purchase goods with my debit card and do not have enough funds in my account it will be declined insufficient funds immediately so why was the transaction allowed to go through. This is a direct error from fnb side and must be rectified immediately. Why must we wait for 30 days to correct an error which is not ours.
Bottom line is no funds in the account declines transaction fnb let it through fnb must decline it and reverse the transaction immediately!!! What is happening to fnb and the excellent service we knew
