Complaint / review text:
I woke up on the 28 october with an sms on my phone that a transaction of R476.71 took place on my bank account. I immediately phoned yr customer care to report the issue and my card was cancelled. I was then charged R40 to get a replacement thought it was not fault. My card was with me while the transaction took place. I went to police to open a case of but was told that they cant help me since they dont have the address of where the transaction took place. Capitec told me to wait for 11 days investigation into the matter. I can still see the money on my statement as not being yet processed. Why cant capitec get the cash back into my account? If i dont hear from you sooner then i am obliged to move my account to another bank where I can feel safe with my money. I have a saving of account fo my daughter as well at capitec and i am worried the same issue may occur as well. I am still shocked as to how can my account being assessed while teh card is with me.
