Complaint / review text:
I had State Farm insurance for about 5 years, not long since it was my first house when I was 21. I live in and older neighborhood with large trees. The trees I had in my yard look to be in okay condition, no dead limbs and green leaves throughout. I had a very large limb fall from one of my trees onto neighbor's garage - not causing any damage. My neighbor filed a claim saying she lost power and I was responsible for loss of food in freezer. State Farm denied her claim and paid nothing out - I had the tree removed with my own money from garage and yard. A year later a different tree fell onto power line of neighbor's house - my neighbor now whom I no longer talk to filed another claim with State Farm - denied again. State Farm still hasn't paid out a dollar for any claims - all from my neighbor because the tree was proven to be in good health and act of God terms follow.
I had one claim before any tree incidents on my A/C, State Farm had to pay out around 2,000 dollars.in the roughly 5 years I had State Farm I figure at 100 dollars a months. I had paid them 6,000 dollars in premiums - State Farm decided that since I had three claims in 2 years that they would drop me from their insurance. 2 of the claims they paid nothing on and I had no hand in or control over. I think the business practice of an insurance company that drops people when they pay nothing out is pathetic - it's too bad for them. I will never purchase insurance from them ever again. Too bad considering how young of a home owner I am, they will miss out on all that money. My advice - stay away from them, they aren't an insurance company there to help its customers, just themselves.
