Complaint / review text:
I had a vehicle financed by ABSA which was paid off on the 1st of October 2014. On the 13th of October 2014 I contacted Absa vehicle and asset finance requesting them to update the details with Transunion that the vehicle has been paid off and I was told to call transunion directly and tell them to update my profile. Alwyn Kern sent me a paid up letter to give to ITC to update my profile. I contacted Transunion and they advised that it is ABSA's responsibility to update my profile which makes sense because how else would Transunion know whether the account is paid off or not. I sent an complaint to their actionline and have been communicating with Stanton who after a few email exchanges eventually said on the 30th of October 2014 that they have sent the details to transunion to update. I have sent 2 follow up emails since then as I could see nothing had been done and nothing was sent to Transunion to date I have not received any feedback from ABSA. It doesn't take them a minute to update your credit profile if they haven't received a payment but cant update that the account is paid off? Please explain that ABSA?
