My mom is a client of Miway. The agreement between her and Miway is that the premium is deducted on the 31st of each month. Miway deducted the premium on 26 November 2014. When she called they told her that they could only refund the money after 72 hours. I called Miway yesterday and spoke to Magdalene Dikobe and she also mentioned that it would take 72 hours. I asked to speak to a manager. I was then put through to Mr Paballo Mphahlele. Mr Mphahlele was willing to assist and informed me that the money would be paid into my mom's account yesterday. My mom still does not have her money. My mom did not authorise Miway to deduct on the 26th. I was told that is is a practice within Miway for dealing with clients who have a history of missing payments. I will be reporting Miway to the Financial Services Board. This is not treating customers fairly. Miway needs to learn to adhere to the terms and conditions of a contract. My mom wants her money paid back into her account immediately.
