From my last R6890.00 in my account Nedbank decides to deduct R4134.00 without any warning or notification, on the day the money was deducted even my sms notification did not alert me of this transaction.
After numerous phone calls there legal department tells me that I have a credit card outstanding amount from the year 2001.in 2009 a Mr. Mohammed from the legal department told me that this debt has prescribed. Since then I do not recall any further communication with nedbank until this incident.
Can Nedbank just deduct money from accounts as they please and even withhold sms notifications which we pay for and decide when it suits the bank to send that notification to inform us that they decided to deduct funds from our accounts.
