I did not give standard bank permission to take my bond payment on 19th december instead of the last business day of the month. The debit could have bounced as i only got paid a few days later. This worries me greatly because i was told by the call centre i should have received an sms that they were doing this. I did not get this sms and i think that this might be illegal? I will have to check with the fsb as i myself work for a company registered with the financial services board. I am still waiting for "someone" to call back to tell me who gave the standard bank employee the permission to debit me early. Does standard bank track accounts and allow suppliers to track your account? I would love to know and wonder if i will get a call back?
