My Mother (82) has not received her Pension Fund since September 2014. When you phone you have to hold on for up to half an hour and often get cut off. We were told they had not received her survival form which had been posted but not received by the Pension Fund due to the Postal Strike. We duly got another formed filled in and e-mailed it to them. We have confirmation that they have received the form and that everything is in order but are now in the queue waiting to be re-instated. Does the pension fund not understand that these pensioners are dependent on this money. I was told this morning that they (the staff) only got back to work today - so they have had a lovely festive season with no thought to all the pensioners with no money. They will not put me through to anyone in charge and are extremely unhelpful and cannot tell me when the money will be paid. I find this totally unacceptable when this was all due to the postal strike and not any fault of the pensioners. Other pension funds extended their deadline for the survival and I cannot understand why MIBFA did not have the foresight to do the same. Clearly they do not care.
